Disneyland California: The Happiest Place on Earth

Introduction

Disneyland Park which is located in Anaheim, California is a wonder that Walt Disney started and opened in 1955. It is famous worldwide as the place where Disney stories and characters gently turn into reality. It is home to many of the most famous attractions which are located within 8 different zones of the park. It gives happiness and pleasure to millions of visitors per year and has a special appeal to thousands of people.

Main Street USA

Main Street USA can be considered as the entrance of Disneyland where Walt Disney tried to depict the USA in the early twentieth century concentrating on his birthplace of Marceline, Missouri. It also has some Victorian architectural re, and well-furnished buildings such as an old Main Street where shops sell all things Disney, baked delicacies, and ice cream. On its end, Main Street has a Disneyland Railroad terminal and possibly the most recognized symbol of Disneyland – Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Adventureland

Adventureland, as the name suggests takes you to different tropical geography as seen in adventure tales. It’s a place where you can crawl through caves in Indiana Jones Adventure, attack waters inhabited by pirates in the Pirates of the Caribbean, or travel in the Journey Cruise and meet strange animals in the zone where there are tar pits.

New Orleans Square 

New Orleans Square is mainly crafted after the place, Big Easy, and you will find the authentic architecture of the old New Orleans and amazing New Orleans food. Stroll down the slippery French Quarter for the ghostly Mansion ride, take a calm cruise upstream, or enjoy Jazz as well as spices.

Critter Country

In Critter Country visitors are taken down to the south to the country backwoods inhabited by furry critters. Frontierland

For your meals head to the Golden Horseshoe Saloon and for a bit of entertainment, enjoy the traditional comedy skit.

Fantasyland

This magical section caters to fantasies of Disney movies and allows visitors to ride in fairytale castles and spin in the Tea Cup. Adventure rides transport you flying in Neverland with Peter Pan, mining with Snow White, or even stormy sea with Pinocchio’s Daring Journey.

Mickey’s Toontown

Parades & Live Shows

Apart from the rides, customers can enjoy lively entertainments that are enacted right in the park; fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle at dusk, Main Street USA E-shooters, cheer Leaders; afternoon street Take down Main Street USA by the Dancers and huge Disney spectacles Floats. Spray shows and fancy lights introduced inviting displays of color in the night at the event of Fantasmic: Waterfront Spectacular and finding characters dancing along during the musical show of the Soundsational Mickey.

Disneyland Through the Years 

Since the day it was opened to the public in July 1955, Disneyland has kept on growing to provide more magical moments. In the year 2000, there were very new technologically based Tomorrowland attractions such as Buzz Lightyear and Star Tours.
